Part Four

Mt Hobson has a high wooden platform and steps to protect the regenerating plants there. Curious to see the path turn into steps, complete with a visitors book in a little weatherproof box.
The view over the island and sea is interesting, a pair of binoculars would be useful.

Here are a couple of photos of the bush on the ridge walk approaching Mt Hobson.
It is an interesting mix of hardwoods, beech and kauri trees.



Sitting in the forest under the mountain is a nice place to have lunch, and to contemplate to route to follow next, as there are several options that you can take from Mt Hobson.
